Introduction

Founded in 1990, the clinic is a 16-bedded unit providing residential and day-care services to help individuals and their families recover from the physical and emotional effects of alcohol and drug issues and offers patients hope, healing and sanctuary. It has a wide range of outpatient treatment programmes, accepting self-funded patients and patients who are covered by private medical insurance.

The Clinic delivers successful, evidence based treatment programmes tailored to meet the individual patient’s needs. All patients are admitted under the care of a consultant psychiatrist, general practitioner and assigned to an experienced, trained therapist. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Inpatients have a consultation with their psychiatrist, with day-to-day treatment provided by therapists, nurses and specialist support staff. Patients will have a customised treatment plan that includes a variety of daily motivational counselling, group therapy, change oriented therapies, healthy living and relapse prevention.

Detoxification programme

The detoxification programme includes full physical examination, psychiatric examination, blood tests, pharmacological withdrawal regime prescribed, physical needs identified, treated and monitored daily.

Facilities and accommodation

The Clinic is a 16 bed facility, made up of both single and double rooms. Patients have access to television, telephone, shower facilities and 3 nutritious meals a day prepared by an on-site Chef. The clinic has a number of consulting rooms, group rooms and activity rooms that have been designed for maximum comfort and well-being.
