Residential Rehab Hospital Hampshire
Introduction
This clinic was founded by Libby and Christopher Reid in 1998 and offers a range of abstinence based treatment programmes for addiction. Our aim is to help our clients rebuild their lives, to gain in confidence and self-worth and to really believe that they can live a healthy, responsible and productive life, free of addictive substances.
Our Programme is flexible and features increasing levels of choice and opportunities for personal development as clients progress through treatment. We recognise that every client has different needs and will move individually through treatment and into recovery.
The clinic facilitates recovery through support and respect, working in collaboration with our clients. Care planning, group work and one to one key worker sessions all feature, together with a life skills programme, women’s and men’s groups, alternative therapies and optional secondary and third stage programmes.
Our treatment enables clients to gradually experience life in an everyday setting that is pro-actively managed to fully protect them at all times. We welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Programme Overview
The therapeutic programme consists of the following components:
- Group therapy and counselling – focusing on your addiction, how it affects you in the here and now, learning from other’s experiences and gaining an insight into yourself.
- Individual one to one sessions with your focal counsellor – will enable you to explore your feelings towards yourself, treatment, your planned future and relationships with loved ones.
- Step work – you will progress through steps 1-3 in treatment, present a life story and receive feedback on a daily basis from counsellors.
- Life Skills lectures and presentations – these aim to give you the information you need to build your own personal strategy for your long term recovery.
- Relapse prevention workshops to look at specific triggers and how to deal with them effectively.
- Community group and men / women’s groups to explore issues affecting the entire community and gender specific issues, respectively.
- Alternative therapies – You will be offered auricular acupuncture on a regular basis from a certified practitioner, however this is optional and magnet based alternatives are available. Art and sculpture therapy is also available and themed events are run on a weekly basis.
- Link to a world wide network of support – in-house events three or four times a week, where external speakers attend and share their experiences.
- Family conference – an optional service where specialists facilitate meetings and discussions with family members and loved ones in a safe and supportive environment
