The Centre has been a dream of Dominic, its founder, since the moment he "came to" in a treatment centre. "It is my belief that during the time I spent around residential care homes and my time in residential treatment and in recovery, I have developed a strong insight into what is required to provide a potent and effective treatment centre. The time is right, the treatment model is right, the location is right and our motives are right. It is meant to be. The major therapeutic component of primary care is the sharing of experiences with each other, both in and out of group therapy." During and following detoxification, clients are asked to recognise their core issues, associated behavioural disorders and the effects that these have had on their lives. This process is securely supported by the core 12 Step programme and through one to one counselling, group therapy, and L.I.F.E Skills assignments. Nurses, therapists and support workers are on hand at all times should a client feel the need for extra support

The centre offers an exceptionally high level of treatment and intervention. The phases of treatment range from the pre-detoxification services through to extended rehabilitation and back to work schedules. For clients needing residential treatment we offer a comfortable supported housing facility in order to provide full time care and supervision. Dependent on assessment and available client support, access is available to all the phases of treatment on an outpatient basis. A supported community-based detoxification can be facilitated in accordance with client needs and following an assessment process. Following completion of the full time programme clients will attend weekly aftercare and relapse prevention groups. The whole family can be affected by the addiction of one member. Support and education for family members is offered and can be accessed before, during and after the addicted member enters treatment.
